Dear Fellow Citizens:
 
I look forward to serving you as your City Council Member District 11.
 
Why do I want to run? That’s easy!  First, I am an advocate!  I believe in District 11's bright future and want to join each citizen, our Sheriff, Mayor, and City Council in making sure that Jacksonville is the safest city in the South.  I am a retired Army Sergeant with police and FBI training, with the experience and determination to keep our communities safe and clean through close work and support of our dedicated Police, Fire, JEA and city worker departments and their unions.  I strongly support better pay for all these departments, and I will work close with these hard working men and women to  make it happen.  I will work strenuously to keep a sustainable Quality of Life for all citizens that are now living in this district by insuring responsible growth.  I support growth, but roads to handle traffic are vital, the future is in our hands, and I promise to work unyielding to insure our quality of life stays intact.
 
Secondly, I am a native Floridian with a knowledge of the past and a unique vision for the future.  I have over 25 years experience in government protecting our natural resources, estuarine systems and waterways, fishing and shooting sports, which Jacksonville is rich in.  I know how government works and have spent many years representing Florida industry in Tallahassee and Washington.  I support the Jacksonville Airport Authority, JAXPORT, a Science and Space Facility for our colleges, a Convention Center, Theme Park, bring in aeronautical, space, and science industry to Cecil Commerce Center and a strong military presence supporting Mayport and N.A.S. Jax.
 
Third, I believe in the rights of every citizen to enjoy his private property and hold his government accountable.  I believe in the rights of the unborn.  I believe the citizens come first.  Not the politicians.
 
Fourth and foremost, I have the determination and the where-with-all to get things done!  When the victims of the hurricanes like, Andrew, Charley, Katrina, and Wilma were suffering, I organized many churches, corporations, state and local government agencies and my friends; within hours and we took food and water to them.  We helped them with meaningful relief immediately, all of this was done with volunteers, and that is the kind of can--do attitude I will bring to the Council with your fine support.
 
Finally, I put God first in my life and I am a family man!  I believe in the 10 Commandments.  I believe in what is right and I believe that doing what is right is the backbone of our city, our government and our country!  We face some challenges in the future and I will be part of the solution, I can assure you.  I look forward to serving each and every one of you!
